Tianjin University of Commerce has announced the evaluation results of the 2025 Industry-Academia Integration Graduate Workstation. The "Graduate Workstation for Intelligent Perception and Detection Technology" jointly established by the School of Mechanical Engineering and TSC subsidiary company LiM Laser has been successfully approved. Recently, the Party Secretary and Department Head of the Mechanical Engineering College of Tianjin University of Commerce, along with other members, visited LiM Laser for in-depth exchanges and held a ceremony to award the Graduate Workstation. Cheng Jinze, the assistant general manager of LiM Laser, and others accompanied the visit.
At the symposium and exchange meeting, the awarding ceremony for the "Graduate Workstation for Intelligent Perception and Detection Technology" was held first, marking the official implementation of the cooperation between the two parties. It will leverage the industry resources of LiM Laser in the field of metal additive manufacturing and the research advantages of the university to focus on the research and development of laser detection and intelligent sensing technology, precisely targeting the cutting-edge fields of intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment. It will provide a "campus + enterprise" dual-scenario practical platform for graduate students and promote the transformation of theoretical achievements into industrial practice.

During the meeting, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the application scenarios, technical bottlenecks and development trends of metal 3D printing technology. They also exchanged views on the cultivation of talents and the collaborative research in the field of metal additive manufacturing. Both sides hoped to rely on the graduate workstation platform to establish a long-term cooperation mechanism. They would achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages in areas such as curriculum construction, practical training, and project research, and jointly create a talent cultivation base, effectively promoting the organic connection of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain, and innovation chain.
Subsequently, the research team visited the exhibition hall of LiM Laser and the intelligent manufacturing workshop. At the exhibition hall, the college leaders learned in detail about the development history, core product matrix, technical achievements, and typical industry solutions of LiM Laser. In the intelligent manufacturing workshop, they closely observed the real-time operation status of the LiM-X series metal 3D printing equipment and highly praised the equipment's stability, forming accuracy, and intelligent control system.

This research and exchange visit not only further strengthened the communication bridge between LiM Laser and Tianjin Commercial University, but also fixed the cooperation direction of "shared talent cultivation, collaborative research, and shared achievements". Both sides will work together and jointly draw up a new picture of deep integration of industry and education, injecting powerful momentum into the cultivation of new quality productive forces and the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, and continuing to write a brand new chapter of "mutual pursuit and win-win future" between the university and the enterprise.
